Johan Wolfgang von Goethe

28 August 1749 – 22 March 1832

"Man himself, in as far as he uses his healthy senses, is the greatest and most accurate physical apparatus there can be.

And that is precisely the greatest mischief done by modern physics: that experimentation has, as it were, been separated from man, and nature is only known through that which artificial instruments demonstrate, and her achievements are constrained and proven through them."

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe considered himself more of a scientist than a poet. His theory of colours being only one of his major scientific achievements that are actually still not understood nor acknowledged by the mainstream scientific community. See WIKI Theory of Colours.

I have written a book about colour that also contains the essence of Goethe's colour theory. This book is available as a kindle book and now also in paperback on Amazon:
